Stories of the Streets

The SOS Project provides a platform for Vancouver's homeless population to share their life stories with the world

This project is based out of and takes place on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish, səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh),  Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Stz'uminus, šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam)  and Hul'qumi'num Treaty Group.

we all have a story

Vancouver's homelessness problem is only going to continue growing as the population does. Busier streets and expanding cities continue to displace the homeless population further out of sight, and out of mind. Chronic illness, disease, addiction, mental illness and malnourishment plague our streets. The lack of accessibility and affordability to basic resources detriments the needs of the community.

We're here to provide a way for the members of our homeless community to voice their concerns, tell their stories and reach out to the world.
